IS PRESCRIPTION ALPHARET THE RIGHT TREATMENT FOR ME?

Prescription Alpharet is a superficial-depth resurfacing treatment by Skinbetter Science. It uses a novel ingredient AlphaRet, which is part AHAs (Alpha Hydroxy acids) and Retinoid, to accelerate the natural process of exfoliation. This will reveal a new layer of glowing hydrated skin. 

During your consultation, we will identify your skin goals. A bespoke treatment plan will then be created according to your skin’s needs. This treatment may be suggested if you wish to improve the appearance of the following:

• Early signs of fine lines & wrinkles
• Overall skin tone
• Blemishes 
• Maintenance of healthy skin 

 Once you are established on Prescription AlphaRet, there is the option of moving onto Prescription AlphaRet+, which contains a higher dose of AHA blend.

WHAT PRE-TREATMENT PREP IS REQUIRED?

At your initial consultation, we will advise on a skincare regime in keeping with your current skin goals. By working towards good skin health, you will also be ensuring your skin is well prepared to undergo treatment, without even thinking about it. This is particularly important for our patients with dark skin tones who may be more susceptible to post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH). If you are using a topical vitamin A, we ask that you discontinue this 48 hours prior to your Prescription AlphaRet treatment. 

IS THERE ANY DOWNTIME?

As Prescription AlphaRet is a superficial-depth treatment, minimal irritant effects such as peeling, redness and swelling are to be expected.  There is little down-time following this procedure, making it perfect preparation for same-day-events. We will go through post-treatment advice with you during your consultation.  

WHEN CAN I EXPECT TO SEE RESULTS?

You can expect to see instant results following Prescription AlphaRet, which will improve over the coming days. This can be a stand-alone treatment. It also works well in combination with a treatment plan of injectables, LED phototherapy, Morpheus8 and at-home skin-care.
